Ditson Award for Conductors. His credits on Broadway start from On the Town and Finian's Rainbow, and include Can-Can, Bells Are Ringing, Gypsy and Funny Girl. He was Musical Director of American Ballet Theatre, conducted for films in Munich and Vienna, and has recorded for all the major recording firms. His TV credits include the Gene Kelly Special, Dancing is a Man's Game. EDGAR LANSBURY (Producer) presented Frank D. Gilroy's Pulitzer Prize winning play The Subject Was Roses on Broadway and produced the film starring Patricia Neal and Jack Albertson. He also brought to the stage Mr. Gilroy's. That Summer, That Fall and The Only Game in Town, Murray Schisgal's A Way of Life and Fragments as well as a successful revival of Bernard Shaw's Arms and the Man, To Be Young, Gifted and Black by Lorraine Hansberry, and last season's musical hit, Promenade. MAX J. BROWN (Producer) has been on the Broadway scene since attending Columbia University for playwrighting under Hatcher Hughes, as well as Yale Drama School. He personally reads over 200 scripts a season, and has been the major investor in over fifty Broadway shows and some of Broadway's biggest hits: Fanny, Matchmaker, Look Back in Anger, La Plume de ma Tante, Gypsy Hello, Dolly! and Man of La Mancha. This season he co-produced with Arthur Whitelaw and Byron Goldman the comedy hit, Butterflies Are Free and Minnie's Boys. RICHARD LEWINE (Producer) composed the scores for Make Mine Manhattan which starred Sid Caesar and David Burns, The Girls Against the Boys with Bert Lahr and Nancy Walker, and contributed songs to many Broadway revues. He produced and wrote the score for Richard Burton's film The Days of Wilfred Owen and has produced many television specials including Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella and My Name Is Barbra, for which he won the Emmy and the Screen producers Award. He is a member of the Council and Secretary of the Dramatists Guild. RALPH NELSON (Producer) first realized the possibilities of William Barrett's Lilies of the Field and was both producer and director of the film which thrust Sidney Poitier into stardom and gained him an Academy Award. And, of course Look to the Lilies has the same genesis. He began his theatrical career as an actor, then as the author of the play The Wind is Ninety, which won first prize in the National Theatre Conference contest and enjoyed a Broadway run. Along the way Mr. Nelson directed numerous television specials in several of which his producing partner was, as in Look to the Lilies, Richard Lewine. Other films of Ralph Nelson's are Requiem For A Heavyweight, Father Goose, Fate is the Hunter, Once A Thief, Charly, Tick Tick Tick and Soldier Blue.
