After coming to New York for a radio engagement, she was engaged to appear in "New Faces of 1943." Night club and radio offers followed thick and fast. Lately she performed at Le Ruban Bleu. She has also been seen and heard at La Martinique, the Monte Carlo and Cafe Society.

EDITH WILSON (Melissa) made her Broadway bow in the first "Blackbirds" with Florence Mills, and toured Europe with that production. Next she entered the cast of "Hot Chocolates" and then the second edition of "Blackbirds," re-crossing the Atlantic with it. She stayed abroad for some years, touring with a band and as solo singer as far as Turkey. On her return to the United States, she became an entertainer at the Cotton Club, Connie's Inn and similar hostelries. Last season she was featured in "Sweet and Hot" at the Mayan Theatre in Los Angeles, as Queenie in the productions of "Showboat" staged by the Civic Light Opera Company of Los Angeles and of San Francisco, and appeared in the film, "To Have and Have Not."
