Dear Sir:

On behalf of Mr. John Barone, our entire show, the orchestra and myself, kindly accept our heartfelt appreciation for giving us so many opportunities to bring a ray of sunshine by way of entertainment to our men and women in the Armed Forces.

Every real AMERICAN is proud to make a sincere and conscientious contribution to the war effort, and that - - is strictly our sentiment.

When you consider the HEARTY LAUGHTER, GENEROUS APPLAUSE, BROAD SMILES and WARM HAND SHAKES from the thousands of fellows, it has been our pleasure to entertain, well, you sort of get a lump in your throat - and tears in your eyes thinking about it! But that's our payment in full for a job well done.

If on the surface we seem mercinary saying we want more of that payment, it is only because in our hearts we know ENTERTAINING our boys is the richest reward ever offered.

Until the final curtain of victory rings down, with the Stars and Stripes blazing as a perpetual symbol of the Four Freedoms for all people everywhere, our curtain of ENTERTAINMENT and all it stands for is up for our Armed Forces anywhere - anytime!

Sincerely yours,
