June 25th, 1934.

My dear Mr. Aitken:

Thank you for your lines of the 20th., in which you tell me that you will be in New York some time in August.

If it would not inconvenience you too much, I hope you will be able to make it toward the end of August, as I am sailing at the end of this week, but expect to be back in New York toward the latter part of that month, and I'm extremely anxious to see what you have in the way of ceramics.

Should you, however, come to this city before I have returned, would you be kind enough to leave, if possible, a selection of pieces for me to see?

Yours very truly,

Department of Contemporary American Art.
