December 7th., 1936.

My dear Mr. Aldrich:

Having heard frequently of your interest in French paintingsof the Eighteenth Century, I would very much like to show you a group of superb works of that period, which I have here.

Among them is a small, delightful landscape, which we have been given for sale and which could be had for a very nominal sum.

Realizing how very busy you are, I would be pleased to take a photograph down to your office.

I shall take the liberty of calling you up at your office to inquire whether this is agreeable to you.

Believe me to be,

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Seligmann)
