E. M. Allen, Esq.,
63 West 58th Street,
New York City.

Dear Mr. Allen,

I have just returned from Europe and brought back with me a number of our recent European acquisitions including several very fine 18th century English paintings, some superb pieces of 18th century French furniture and a number of very important tapestries and various other objects d'art.

You probably know that it is becoming more and more difficult to acquire fine and genuine pieces in any branch of Art, and therefore, I thought you might care to come in to see these things before they are put on exhibition, as many of the things will be practically impossible to replace.

Hoping, therefore, to have the pleasure of seeing you within the next few days, believe me to be

Very truly yours,
