Dear Mr. Allen,

I was very sorry not to see you again when you called at the galleries the other afternoon. It was very gratifying to witness your interest in the lovely Degas I showed you.

I plan to be in Boston in about ten days, at the time of our exhibition of drawings and water colors at the Fogg Art Museum, and I will probably take the Degas along with me.

You will thus have an opportunity to admire it again and it will will give me the pleasure of seeing you.

Many thanks for your kind interest, and believe me to be

Very truly yours,

(C.M. de Hauke)
