October 9th, 1934.

Dear John:

I have just finished up the information about the two artists you gave me.

In Thieme-Becker "Kunstlexikon", which is the most complete and authoritative work of its kind, I find the following data:

[[underlined]] LEON RICHET [[/underlined]] (Solesmes 1847 - Paris 1907)
Landscape painter, pupil of J. Lefebre, Boulanger, and Diaz.
Barbizon School.

Amusingly enough, there are pictures by him in the Albany Institute, as well as the Museum at Antwerp.

[[underlined]] AMADE PERRET [[/underlined]] - There is no artist listed by this name, but there is an [[underlined]] AIME PERRET [[/underlined]] (Lyon 1847 - Paris 1927)

A genre, portrait, and landscape painter.

Pictures by him in the Museums at Carcassomne, Lyon, Montpellier, Morlaix, Nantes, and the Luxembourg Museum.

This is about all that I could find but it probably will give you some idea of what's what.

I had a grand time last week-end and promise to come up very soon again.

As ever,
With best wishes
