Dear Mrs. Anson:

As I wrote you I would, I went to your apartment yesterday morning, and indeed enjoyed looking at your lovely salon with its boiserie.

I am, however, compelled to say that after giving it careful thought I am completely at a loss to know what advice to you as to disposing of it.

I will mention it to a decorator, however, as he may be just in need of such woodwork at present, but my experience having been quite unsatisfactory along those lines, I do not entertain an optimistic outcome.

It occurred to me, gathering from your letter your desire of moving, that you may wish to part with some of the paintings, gouaches, and some of the more delicate pieces of furniture.

Should this be the case, I would be then in a much better position to be of help to you.
