January 13th., 1944.

Dear Mr. Eisendrath:

Your very kind and interesting letter of January 3rd., as well as the clippings, photographs and a number of extra catalogues, duly arrived and I do want to thank you.

I haven't heard further from Mr. Duncan Phillips, thus I surmise that the show will open, as expected, on January 16th., with - I hope - the inclusion of the Arensberg, Goodyear and Los Angeles Museum items, as it would be a pity to have it short of these.

Now, when I had the pleasure of seeing you, I recall it was your intention to come to New York towards the end of this month, and I would very much like to know whether Mrs. Eisendrath and you have set a date for your arrival and where you will be stopping, as I certainly wish to welcome you here and to arrange a little party. May I warn you about the difficulty of obtaining hotel reservations, as New York is very crowded.

Asking you to kindly remember me to Mrs. Eisendrath and looking forward to seeing you soon,

Sincerely yours,

William N. Eisendrath, Jr., Esq.,
