This Indenture
MADE THE

BETWEEN
^[[the Trustees of the Union, American Church Colored (a religious corporation) of New Castle County, in the State of Delaware, of the first hart, and Peter Wright, Jesse Porter, Stephen Wiley, Daniel Hutchison and Robert Miller, all of the County and State aforesaid, Trustees (for the purpose of erecting a School House for the education of the Colored people, and with the express understanding that no person shall be excluded from said School House or School, by reason of his color complexion, race or religious belief or profession)]]
of the ^[[Second]] part Witnesseth that the said ^[[party of the first part]] for and in consideration of the sum of ^[[One Hundred Dollars]] lawful money of the United States of America, unto ^[[them]] well and truly paid by the said ^[[parties of the Second part]] at and before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents, the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged ^[[have]] granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents ^[[do]] grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, convey and confirm unto the said ^[[parties of the Second part and to the Survivors or Survivor of them, his]] Heirs and Assigns ^[[All the following Lot or piece of Land, Situate, lying and being in Red Lion Hundred, in the County and State aforesaid, the same being bounded and described as follows, towit: Beginning at a point in the Public Road leading from the Canal Pivot Bridge to Kirkwood and being a corner also for Charles Lum, and running thence with his land South forty eight and three fourths degrees East Eighty five feet to a Stone, thence South forty degrees West Thirty five feet to a Stone, thence along the Center of the Public Road North forty degrees East, Thirty five feet to the first mentioned Stone and place of Beginning.

Containing within those bounds ten perches of land, be the same however more or less.  The above lot or piece of land being a part of the same land and premises which Thomas W. McCracken, by Indenture bearing date August 23rd. A.D. 1867, did grant and confirm unto "The Trustees of the Union American Church" and to their Successors, in fee, as in and by Said Indenture Recorded in the Office for the Recording of Deeds &c at New Castle
