Upward Mobility Program

At the end of fiscal year 1987, four employees were participating in the program:

• One minority woman was receiving training as a Computer Specialist.

• One minority man was receiving training for as an Automotive Helper.

• One minority man was receiving computer training through continuing education.

Outreach Program

Outreach messages were placed in six publications tailored for minorities and women:

• [[underlined]] Blacks in Government Souvenir Program [[/underlined]]

• [[underlined]] Opportunities Industrialization Center 23 Annual Convocation Souvenir Journal [[/underlined]]

• [[underlined]] American Visions [[/underlined]]

Exhibits sponsored at eight conferences were seen by approximately one hundred thousand people:

• Blacks in Government

• Louisville Defender Minority Expo

• Black Family Reunion

• Congressional Black Caucus

• National Association for the Advancement of Colored People

• National Bar Association 

• National Association for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education

• United Negro College Fund Job Fair
