NELL CARTER won the 1978 Tony Award as Best Featured Actress in a Musical, as well as a Theatre World Award, an Obie Award, and the Drama Desk Award as Best Actress in a Musical, all for her role in Ain't Misbehavin'." She co-starred this season in the TV special "Cindy" and will be seen in the upcoming movie version of Hair. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Miss Carter first came to New York as a nightclub singer, in such spots as Reno Sweeney's, and The Village Gate. Graduating to Broadway, she was Susie Moon in Dude, and also appeared in Jesus Christ Superstar, Dont Bother Me, I Cant Cope and Bury the Dead, in addition to appearing in both New York and London in Iphigenia In Taurus.

ANDRE DE SHIELDS achieved national recognition for creating the title role in the Tony-Award winning musical The Wiz. His other acting credits include the role of Xander in the Organic Theatre Company "Warp" on Broadway and in Chicago where he won the Drama Critics' Best Actor Award. In Hair he played Hud, and was also featured in The Me Nobody Knows, Rachel Lilly Rosenbloom and Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. As a director his credits include Thoughts by Lamar Alford for La Mama's Jarbaro Players and the highly successful nightclub act, Formerly of the Harlettes. He has choreographed for Bette Midler, "Saturday Night Live," and "Sesame Street." She is known internationally in the night club circuit. Despite rumors to the contrary, she is not Steve McQueen's little sister.

KEN PAGE won the 1978 Drama Desk Award as Best Actor in a Musical for Ain't Misbehavin'. He made his sparkling Broadway debut as Nicely-Nicely in the all-black revival of Guys and Dolls. His show stopping rendition of "Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat" earned him unanimous praise from the critics and the 1977 Theatre World Award. Ken was next seen on Broadway as the Cowardly Lion in The Wiz. New York audiences have enjoyed Ken in his cabaret act, in "The Ragtime Blues" at AMAS Repertory Theatre, and in the reopening of the world famous Cotton Club. He was also featured in the Los Angeles premiere of Purlie. Ken's future plans include further work on "From Paul," a thrift shop on 80th St., directing an upcoming showcase, nightclubs, recording, in short: everything.
