THE PROGRAM

Credits include 25th anniversary of the Kennedy Center with Robert Downey Jr., NBC's Homicide, Amateur Night at the Apollo, and various commercials. She is a Washington Wizards Junior Dancer, studied dance with recording artist Mya, and performed with Martha Reeves. Kristen thanks God for her many blessings, family, and CED. Kristen dedicates her performances in memory of her great-great-grandmother "Nannie."

[[image:  black and white photograph of Julissa Lopez]] JULISSA LOPEZ (Young Nala at certain performances), currently in seventh grade, is a member of the Highbridge Voices Choir, where she receives training in voice, theory, and dance. With the Choir, she appeared on Late Night with David Letterman and Celine Dion's television special, A Decade of Song. She thanks God for his blessings; Bruno Casolari, director of Highbridge Voices; her agent Nancy Carson; and her family for their support and time.

[[image: black and white image of Ian Quinlan) IAN QUINLAN (Young Simba at certain performances) is happy to be making his Broadway debut in this production, realizing "every good and perfect gift is from above." He has done print, commercials, and The Cosby Show. He's been in The Eddie Mathos Story, City Hall, and most recently appeared as Carlos in Music of the Heart. Ian enjoys studying violin at the School for Strings, playing tennis, and acting.

Performed with Jubilation!, Joseph Holmes, Deeply Rooted, and Cecilia Marta Co. Mom, Iega, your love supported my first steps.

[[image: black and white photograph of LaTrisa A. Coleman]] LaTRISA A. COLEMAN (Ensemble) is a native of Fort Pierce, Florida, and received her B.F.A. from Towson State University. LaTrisa danced on full scholarship at the Ailey School and was a member of the Alvin Ailey Repertory Ensemble. Broadway debut!

[[image: black and white photograph of Mark Allan Davis]] MARK ALLAN DAVIS (Ensemble), an original cast member, returns to the States after 11 years in Germany choreographing for his company Les Danses Donsk and for films, including The Neverending Story 3. Performed with the Jones/Zane Company. USFSA Gold Medalist for Ice Dancing. Broadway debut!

Performances: Radio City Music Hall, Pocahontas in Central Park, Grover Washington, Arsenio, David Letterman, Jay Leno, 1988 Tony Awards, and Essence Awards.

She is a former member of Urban Bush Women, Vinnette Carroll Repertory Theatre, and Freddrick Bratcher and Company. She thanks God for His continuous blessings and her parents for their love and support.

[[image: black and white photograph of Christopher Freeman]] CHRISTOPHER FREEMAN (Swing) began his career as a member of the Joffrey Ballet and is currently a member of Complexions (a concept in dance). Theater credits include the national tours of Rent and Carousel and the Broadway production of Swan Lake.

[[image: black and white photograph of Dameka Hayes]] DAMEKA HAYES (Swing) has performed on stage and screen worldwide. This Oklahoma native has danced with companies such as Tulsa Dance Theatre and the Los Angeles Laker Girls. She has recently finished touring the United States with Sean "Puffy" Combs.

[[image: black and white photograph of Carol Mbambo Hansford]] CAROL MBAMBO HANSFORD (Ensemble), born and raised in South Africa, made her Broadway debut in Sarafina and has performed at The Julliard School of Music and on Jay Leno.  Carol dedicates her performance to her newborn son and husband and thanks God for his blessings.
