Office Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen abandoned lands &c &c for Robeson Co.
Lumberton N.C. Aug 28th 1865

This indenture made the 28th day of Aug 1865 between Kincher Atkinson of the one part, and Verge Atkinson Zilpha Atkinson, Frank Atkinson, James Atkinson, and Frank Griffin of the other Part, all of the said Co. and state, witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of thirty bushells of corn to Virge, and Zilpha Atkinson (his mother) and to Frank Atkinson twenty five bushells of corn, and to James Atkinson twenty five bushells of corn, and Frank Griffin ten dollars for the services of his family up to this date and twelve dollars for his son Stephen to date.
