This Indenture made[[?]] entered into this the 2nd day of Sept 1865 between H.F. Pitmann of Robeson Co of the one part and Andrew [[symbol for and]] wife Carolina [[symbol for and]] Sarah his daughter, Isaac, Charles, [[symbol for and]]Leonard, [[and symbol]] Ellen by their guardian Henrietta Herman for his son Frank. Rufus for his wife Clarissa, Harriet, Pink Augustus freedmen of the above County-Witness that for [[symbol for and]] in consideration of the said H.F. Pitman paying the above mentioned freedman at the following ratio. To Andrew [[and symbol]] wife [[and symbol]] daughter Sarah,Twenty five dollars [[symbol for and]]thire crop.
To Isaac Twelve dollars [[symbol for and]] his crop
To Herman for his son Frank Ten dollars
To Rufus for his wife Clarissa Eight dollars
To Henrietta for Charles [[symbol for and]]Leonard [[symbol for and]]Ellen fourteen dollars and crop
To Harriet [[symbol for and]] her son Pink [[symbol for and]]Daughters Seventy five dollars [[symbol for and]] their crop. Agree on their part to receive the above amount in full for their labor from 27th April 1865 to date which the said H F Pitman agrees to pay.  H.F. Pitman
