I am going to ride tomorrow with Mr Stewart - Mo knew it, I wish he had cared.  It is not surprising that after fifty hours conversation with him he should be tired of me.  How he has ever stood those fifty hours I do not understand.- And how I have stood them is quite beyond my power of comprehension.

and yesterday a party of us went on to Providence to see the Foot Ball game.  The party consisted of Mama, Aunt Cettie, Mrs Taylor, Esther Hunt, Romold Dahlgren, L. Stewart, Mo, C.V. jr and myself.  Mr Andrews met us at Providence about lunch time.  I hate him.

We left Newport in Papa's private car at 10.10 in the morning.  Going up we talked and played games so the time passed very quickly.  Three carriages met us at the station and although it was pouring we went for a drive to see the city.  In the first
