Truly it is a bad plan to write what one thinks, suppose this book were to fall into the hands of someone who would read it.  But come I must express myself to someone, you are the most convenient.

the morning and have had a nice time.  I met Mo just outside the Club and we went in together.  He put on my skates and who should we meet of course but Louise Baldwin.  Which amuses me as when Mo & I are together we invariable meet her.  Mo stayed all the morning though he does not skate and walked home with me.  He dines at the Sloane's tonight, so I expect it will be very nice.

We had a big reception on the 2d at which I stood up with Mama and shook hands with everyone.  There were about a thousand people there.
