men and marriage. I am tired of the subjects.

I went to church this afternoon so missed a good many visitors. I wish I knew something about Mr Sands. We were friends, or I really did care quite a little at one time, so of course I want to know what he is doing & where he is. I have a sort of feeling he took what I said to him in my last note as a repulse and that - well perhaps he feels badly, and perhaps he doesn't.

Enough of this it is time not to think of other things.

Monday I had the following visitors - 1st Harry Robbins - then Livy Beekman, next Worthie Whitehouse. In a little while Harry Robbins left, then Mama went upstairs. Mr Cottenet & Mo came in after that. Livy Beekman stayed a short time then took his departure. Next in came Mr Field and these four stayed some time together. Mr Whitehouse broke the circle, perhaps ten minutes afterwards Mr Field went, and then I had Mr Cottenet
