Mr Sand who came up for the wedding has just gone down.  Thursday after the wedding we took a walk.  That night he dined with us and went to the Stokes dance.  Friday he called late for about an hour, Saturday he came again for nearer two hours.  Sunday once more for an hour and three quarters, Monday we had made an appointment to play golf but he was late so I went off.  Played Tuesday at quarter past four.  Left at twenty minutes to eight!!

Sunday Mr Cary called, we got on better than ever before.  Mr Crowninshield came over on his bicycle

as he asked if he could, from Stockbridge.  So altogether I have been anything but quiet.
