Another friend! This time he is young say 24 or 5 not good looking but interesting and not a society man. Yesterday we had a talk of I should say two hours out sailing and there is sympathy between us. I did not try to make him care for me, and yet I know he does care, more than he has

ever for any girl before. I could make him crazy about me if I wanted. I am not going to though because it would be mean. I will ask him to be my friend for we have talking about friendship and have the same ideas on that subject. Of course I will say frankly tell me if you don't want to be my friend or if you think there is not the sympathy necessary between us to make us friends, I will not be offended, but somehow I have felt as if we might be able to help each other in certain things.
