Very young population, many plants dead probably 1 or 2 years ago, only one or 2 odes still with life & few inflorescences. Lots of new plants in [[symbol for unequal]] stages some already climbing and short 3 m long.

Culm leaf with [[underlined]] erect [[/underlined]] blade, at least when young and in new shoots (like Bambusa type.

We found a very old [[clump?]] with culms short 1 cm or so. Culms with small hole in center. We saw old noes with large no. of bracts in a [[?]] [[confluent?]] with very thick central one.
