[[end page]] [[start page]] K. 79-209 Sept. 9 Am Rio Marie, ca. 30 Km above mouth. near village of [[Uacobeta?]]. Arthrostylidium. Climbing bamboo growing in forest on high [[banks?]] along river, with sandy soil Culms thin, less than 1cm but strong & flexible over veg. & trees +- 6m. Forming +- large, dense [[clumps?]] about 1m diam. Internodes and culm [[strikethrough]] [[?]] [[/strikethrough]] leaves very smooth. Internodes with thick walls & small hollow center. Culm leaves very smooth triangular, with no external demarcation of blade. Only from inside seen the [[symbol for unequal]]. Blade ending in a long [[threat? thread?]] like tip. Leaves rather large. (seen later this sp in flower!) Sheath rather persistent ->
