if you can't take a cussing out with a straight face, if you have not wind for prolonged physical exertion, if you are looking for a soft snap - don't be sorry you stayed away from Fort Oglethorpe.

This afternoon Donald introduced me to a Mr. Ransom, who was in Vanderbilt with you and did magazine work there. He seems to be a nice sort of fellow. They have started another round of physical examinations, and I fear me this will cut me down. If so, I shall be in a devil of a shape, to put it mildly. And I hear Miss Douglas has the secretaryship. But keep your eye open for a position for me next fall, in case the physical exam should put me out. If
