July 7, 1918.  88th moved to Fraucheville, Chateau-Thirry sector.
July 18, 1918.  Big allied drive, My first infantry mission.
July 28, 1918  88th receives Salmson machines.
Aug. 1, 1918  88th moves to Ferme des Greves.
Aug. 8, 1918  Our bad day.  Jimmy Burns, Plummer, & McClendon killed
Aug. 9, 1918  cited in G.H. Reorders
Aug. 18th  Infantry mission for which I was later cited in G.H.Q. orders 
Sept. 4th- Moore and Hitchcock killed
Sept. 7th.  Cited in 3rd corps orders.
Sept. 9th-12th.  In Paris with Vrooman and Heilbrumn
Sept. 12th, 1918  88th moves to Souilly, St. Mihiel sector.
Sept. 14th 1918.  My last flight.  Wounded and later given D.S.C. 
Sept. 20th 1918.  Reached B.H. 47, at Beanne, News of  Herbert James's death July 5th
Nov. 6th, 1918  Left Beaune for the States
Nov. 18th 1918  Left Brest
Nov. 29th 1918 Landed, Newport News.
Dec. 6th 1918  Reached Fort McPherson
Dec. 14th 1918 Visit home
Jan. 1, 1919  Met F.R. for the first time 
Jan. 30 1919.  Operated on.
May 6, 1919  Discharged from the army.
