NARRATIVE: My wingman called in that two (2) E/A were approaching from 5 o'clock high, so we turned into them. My wingman had one (1) external tank still on and could not turn tightly. The two (2) E/A fired at him and passed together below us. I split 2'd and developed a high speed stall, which put me a little out of effective range at about 1500 feet. The two (2) E/A were in close formation until I fired two (2) long bursts at the rearmost E/A. I fired 30 degrees deflection shots at seven o'clock. I noticed pieces of the E/A passing my ship. The E/A fell out of formation to the rear. I broke off the attack when my wingman called for help.
