taught school before her marriage on June 22, 1943 to Capt. Albert H. Manning. Reading and compiling scrapbooks are her hobbies. She thoroughly enjoys pinochle and is learning bridge. For two years Maxie served most efficiently as Treasurer of the club.

Lois Geraldine Gilkey Marchbanks

Lois is a dynamic worker, always coming through with flying colors on any assignment given her. Four birthdays are celebrated at the Marchbanks' home - Major Vance's, Joy's, Roslyn's, and Lois' which is on December 20th. Before marrying on June 12, 1939 Lois graduated from Howard University with a B.S. degree, worked as a clerk in Dunbar High School in her home town, Little Rock, Arkansas, and worked with her sorority project, the AKA Non-Partisan Lobby in Washington. Lois enjoys reading, sewing, poker, and bridge.

Consuela Barrington Macdonald McDaniel

Coming from New Orleans, La., Consuela has enjoyed many Mardi Gras Festivals. "Connie," who celebrates her birthday on January 5th, graduated from Southern University with a B.S. degree in business. While in school she became affiliated with the AKA Sorority. Following graduation she worked as a secretary at Tuskegee. Romance entered the picture, and on October 5, 1946 she married Major Armour G. McDaniel. Their attention is now centered around Gwendolyn who is 18 months. For relaxation, Connie like a good game of bridge or pinochle.
