Alice Louise Stanton Suggs

Alice is our president - and what a fine one she is. Under her capable leadership the club has already grown in personnel, interest, and co-operativeness. Her hobbies are sewing, reading, and baking which she indulges in when she isn't busy caring for Capt. John J., John Stanton, 3 years, and Robert Evan, 17 months. Alice is a graduate of Wayne University in Detroit where she affiliated with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. October 1, 1943, the dater of her marriage and January 3, her birthday, are two dates Alice just doesn't forget.

Maxine Hicks Taylor

Majoring in Biology, Maxine earned a B.S. degree cum laud from Sam Houston College. While in school she was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. After graduation and a short career as a Junior High School teacher, Maxine married Capt. Ulysses S. Taylor on June 6, 1942. Cooking is Maxine's hobby, and her three energetic youngsters, Carolyn, 5 1/2 years, Ulysses, 4 1/2, and Theresa, 9 months see that she gets plenty of practice too. Send Maxine a card on July 24th ... it's her birthday ... or call her for pinochle ... it's her favorite card game.
