Louisiana where she was born Nov. 3rd. In Chicago, she attended the Illinois Institute of Technology. It was there she learned so much about sewing. Designing and making children's clothes, interior decorating, playing bridge and pinochle are a few of the things Clarese likes to do.

Evelyn Mitchell Turner

Evelyn's enthusiasm for her interests chief among which are drawing and interior decorating makes conversation with her lively. Born in Baskin, La., on Dec. 27th, Evelyn's home is in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Trained as a teacher at Xavier University where she was made a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Evelyn taught in the elementary school system of Perry, Okla. That was before she married Lt. Daniel H. Turner on August 24, 1942. Now there are three in the Turner family; little Henry Mitchell can't be left out of the picture. Evelyn is a bridge enthusiast, a roller skater, sews, and reads consistently. She is a talented artist having won honorable mention in a National Art Contest in 1941.

Mildred Cordelia Hurt Turner

Mildred comes to us from Cambridge, Mass. She was born Dec. 20th, and prior to her marriage on March 29, 1947 to Lt. Leon L. Turner was a student at Howard University, Washington, D.C. The Turners have one son, Leon, Jr., who is one year old. Mildred's hobbies are horseback riding, swimming, and playing the piano. She enjoys most any card game, particularly pinochle. Her talents are singing and dancing.
