Cleo obtained her B.S. degree in elementary education from Hampton Institute and taught in the public schools of Maryland and Virginia before her marriage on March 16, 1943 to Lt. Walter I. Lawson. The Lawsons have two vivacious youngsters, Sandra, 4 years, and Carmelita, 15 months. Cleo has had the opportunity of visiting Mexico; she found its people and customs most fascinating.

Margaretta Virginia Leroy

One of our very new members is Margaretta. Born on October 8th, she is the wife of W.O. James B. Leroy whom she married May 21. She studied Business Administration while attending Wilberforce University and before her marriage worked as a secretary. Margaretta enjoys playing cards, particularly poker.

Doris Lucille Parker

Only Doris herself can tell you how happy she was to see Lockbourne after a recent nine months stay in Champaign, Illinois, where her husband was in school. And we're just as happy to welcome her into our club. Born Sept. 27th in Virginia Doris turned to Wayne University in Detroit for her education. Before her marriage on Jan. 31, 1945 to Capt. Fred L. Parker she worked for O.P.A. Since Gail Alayne's arrival three years ago, Doris has had little time for the business world. A sports enthusiast Doris also like to read and play cards. She is an active member of the Projects Committee.
