Nursery Plans (Cont'd)

NURSERY COMMITTEE.

Chairman – Lucille Williams

Secretary – Lois Marchbanks.

Members: Mildred Carter, Agatha Davis, Virginia, Hillery, Rose Ln., Cloe Lawson, Beatrice Turner.

Duties:

1. To study established nurseries – their operation and program.
2. To make plans for establishing a Post Nursery.
3. To make suggestions for conversion of building T–154.
4. To investigate sources of equipment and suggests necessary purchases to the club.
5. To study expenses of operating the nursery and suggest fees that will make the nursery self-supporting and not be prohibitive to enlisted men or junior officers.
6. To meet with the Board to discuss suggestions for improving the nursery.
7. To arrange a meeting of all parents before the nursery opens so that they will be enlightened as to what they can expect of the nursery and what is expected of them.
8. To make recommendations to the club for the successful running of the nursery.

RECOMMENDATIONS

After thorough investigation, thoughtful, scientific and mathematical study, and much discussion, the Nursery Committee has arrived at the following recommendations, submitted to you for your approval. The nursery is the project of our club and the committee feel that every detail concerning it should be sanctioned by you.

Who Is Eligible for Admittance:

1. All children of all military personnel, living on or off the Post, who are between the ages of 2 and 6, who have passed the physical examination, and who are trained, are eligible for admittance to the nursery.

2. Children between the ages of 18 months and 2 years, who are trained, can walk and talk, may be admitted, provided the child will not be a burden to the supervisor.
