TO AN ABSENT LOVER
When to your soul come doubts and fear
That almost makes you shed a tear,
Do not pine or feel so blue,
Just tell yourself I know he's true.

When others would your faith destroy
And take your spirit away from joy,
Then draw the closer to your heart
The love that is of you a part.

When in spite of all above
Some will say there is no love,
Then stand in faith, yea! stand alone;
You know his love is all your own.

When from your side he's gone afar
And gossip would his good name mar,
His love defile, your trust beguile-
Only trust him with a smile. ^ Cos
