"You must forget that you haven't danced before and start from where you are," he said, adding that Khasu also teaches a four credit African Theatre class. 

Khasu has written several plays, the most successful being "Homage to Africa." 

He said his plays represent his desire to change certain values and attitudes of Liberians and to "do justice and honor to African experience."

 Khasu's education began in a mission school founded by Southern Baptist missionaries from the US. Later he transferred to a "poro," what westerners call a "[[?]] school."
