Denver, and Lowry Cooperates In Unique Inter-Racial Program 

To promote a truly Democratic Sperit in America through inter-racial cooperation and understanding of Army Personnel and Lowry Field and better relations between Lowry Field and Denver is the purpose of a unique orientation program in the field of Race Relations iniated by Master Sergeant Alvin J. Johnson and lunched by the Commanding Officer of Lowry Field Colonel R. Bean, at a recent orientation program at Lowry Field. 

The programs are based on a talk, "Want to be a True American", written by Sergeant Johnson, encouraging all American citizens regardless of Race, Religion or Culture to unite with a True Democratic Spirit against present discordant Social, Economic, and Cultural Relations existing in America today. By working to become TRUE AMERICANS with a TRUE DEMOCRACY for all.

Sergeant Johnson was inspired to write his paper as a result of an orientation period, at which he asked the men of his Squadron if they would like to discuss the conditions of America to see if they could arrive at a way they could make a contribution to the progress of America, by helping to solve her problems. 

Troop orientation periods recently began at Theatre number one, which were planned to present the talk "I Want to be A True American" to all of the troops on Lowry Field, and the program was stated by Col. R. Beam who stressed the importance of the program to the men of the Field, who was followed by Sergeant Johnson with his talk, "I Want to be A True American". Following M/Sgt Johnson was M/Sgt Holst who spoke on how the nations of  the world had failed to survive that had taught their people Racial Hatered.
