My dear Mr. Bache :-

I went up with Mr. Trevor this morning, and we examined your picture very carefully.

It is even a more delicate job than I first anticipated, and the best man to do it would be a man by the name of Rougeron. I suggest my taking your picture over here and having Rougeron come in here to give his opinion. I think a specialist's opinion is always the best. If you think that the picture should be cradled, and it is my advice to do so, I would certainly have it done as soon as possible, for any change in climactic condition would have a chance to cause damage to the picture which has already two or three small cracks.

With best regards,

Believe me,

Most sincerely yours,
