October 30th., 1931.

Dear Mr. Beatty:

I have just brought over one of the rarest and most exceptional examples of very early bronzes in existence. According to Dr. von Falke of the Kaiser Friedrich Museum in Berlin and other well known authorities, this work of art was made in the Twelfth Cenury in the atelier of Nicolas de Verdun.

Having often heard of the great interest you take in art, I would consider it a privilege to show you this bronze at our galleries at the above address.

              Believe me to be,

                  Yours very sincerely,

                      (Germain Selignann)
