Dear Mr. Belin:

Upon my return from Florida, Nicky told me the good news of your appointment as one of the trustees of the Mellon Foundation, and I hasten to send you my sincere congratulations.

I do hope you had a pleasant trip to Nassau and enjoyed your stay at this little island which has an unquestionable charm and is one of my most favored spots.

By the way, I intend to come to Washington one day next week to see your new exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, to which we have loaned, as you probably know, several pictures. It would be so good to see you on my visit, and I hope I have better luck than the last time I was in Washington.

I trust my lines find you well. In the meantime believe me to be, Mr. Belin, with my kindest personal regards,

Always faithfully

(Rolf H. Waegen)
