Dear Mr. Dunlap:

Before I left Paris, I was in communication with Mr. Behn in reference to the paintings which belonged to the late Mr. Berwind.

Mr. Behn, whom I had met years ago through mutual friends in Paris, was kind enough to tell me that the matter was entirely in your hands.

Therefore, I take the liberty to ask if you would be kind enough to give me an appointment.

In spite of what some people believe and present day conditions, we have several clients who might be interested in some of the paintings, and it is a matter which I should like to take up with you.

Hoping to have the pleasure of meeting you sometime in the near future at your convenience,

Kindly believe me

Yours sincerely,

(René Seligmann)
