Dear Mr. Block:

Your painting by LA FRESNAYE really looks even more handsome in the frame you have chosen, and your idea of reframing it was indeed an excellent one.

The painting left New York [[strikethrough]] two days ago [[/strikethrough]] ^[[yesterday]] and should have reached your home by now. For insurance purposes, however, we will take for granted that it will be in your possession by Thursday, March 4th, unless we hear from you to the contrary and should it be delayed, please wire us on the 4th.

You will find that "La Vie Conjugale" is on its original stretcher, and we felt that since it was in perfect condition there was no need to change it.

I am taking the liberty of enclosing herein the invoice for the painting - as agreed, we are taking care of the reframing expenses.

Let me repeat how delighted we are that this superb painting is entering your collection.

Sincerely yours,

(Georges E. Seligmann)
