November 21st, 1932.

My dear Mr. Secor,

You undoubtedly received a catalogue of the sale of Mr. George Blumenthal, Trustee of the Metropolitan Museum, which is going to take place in Paris on the first of December.

I thought of writing you these lines to tell you that we would gladly give you any information that you might want, as practically all the objects in the sale have been sold by our firm and we are, therefore, familiar with each of them. We would also be glad to execute any order you might give, without any charge.

The sale comprises the 18th Century contents of Mr. Blumenthal's home in Paris, which he had assembled over a period of twenty years with the most discriminating taste.

On account of present circumstances there is no doubt that there will be, I feel, a great opportunity to pick up real "bargains", though this sale is going to be the outstanding artistic event of the last few years.

Believe me to be

Yours very truly,

(Clyfford Trevor)

P.S. I am writing a similar letter to Mr. Godwin.
