Dear Mr. Seligman:

Thank you for your letter of December 1 and for the kind regards to me and my wife.

I have, of course, no objection to the reproduction of Seurat's "La Jambe" in the pamphlet planned by the British Broadcasting Corporation. I prefer it to be represented as "private collection".

I hope I shall get an opportunity to go to New York in the not too distant future, and then I should be very glad to see you again.

With the kindest regards and the best wishes for Christmas,

Sincerely yours,
