April 9th., 1948

Dear Pierre:

Your letter of April 6th., has just reached me, and the contents are surprising.

Having had these bronzes for so long a time, as you point out, it seems strange you would wish them "back in your possession at my earliest convenience."

However, they are here, available to you whenever you want them. Not later than a few days ago, I showed the statue representing your Father to a museum director, who seemed to be very much interested.

Please advise me whether you want the latter included in the group, as if so I will give you all necessary information to enable you to continue negotiations.

Yours very sincerely,

(Germain Seligman)
