Dear Mr. Seligman:

I have checked with Mr. Bearce about the join between the back and side pieces of the case. It is sealed with a sealing compound developed by the General Electric Corporation for use on metals. The seal is complete, and you do not need to worry about it.

I am glad you are pleased with the box. It is greatly superior to the first, which was made out of sheet metal. Mr. Bearce used to be technician in the Conservation Dept. at the Fogg Museum; he is now a production engineer for a firm that makes scientific instruments.
