Dear Mr. Seligman:

I wrote to the Benedictine Fathers in Canada requesting them to take pictures of the Roua^[[u]]lt for you.

The Monk who I had dealt with and who is in charge had recently left for France, but I received a letter from him today that he expects to return shortly after the first of the year with another Roua^[[u]]lt and also a few other original very fine paintings. I will advise you as soon as I hear anything further concerning them.

I will also communicate with you as soon as I hear from Canada and receive the photographs of the pictures they have there, although I know they don't act very quickly.

I may also suggest that if you have a chance you visit Cartier and speak with Mr. Devaux, for he has an original enamel Roua^[[u]]lt on exhibition there. I of course can arrange for you to handle it as I have complete authority to act on any of the pictures that are at present with Cartier.

Sincerely yours,
