Dear M. Seligman,

I am not quite happy yet about the Vouet article for various reasons, and what I would like to do would be to submit to you a slightly altered version for your approval. For one thing, I find it a little long and repetitive, and I am sure I could improve it in this respect. For another thing, I do not believe that the evidence that it comes from the Palais-Cardinal is absolutely conclusive and I would have thought that this should be made clear. In any case, I shall submit to you my suggestions and if you agree to them, then we can publish the article. The first issue for which a frontispiece is still available is July, and we should plan for this month or August as the date of publication.

Yours sincerely,
