The program this money buys is not spelled out here. Every phase of our program must be intensified and extended. Opportunities for service and activity in behalf of Negro women clamor for our attention. The question is how to get more money in order to be more useful.

We say it's easy. For instance. Aside from new life members you will want to bring in, present life members owe a total of over EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS. Just a nudge may remind them to pay another installment - or the whole amount.

For instance again. Each metropolitan council pays $100 dues. The number of councils has more than doubled in the past year. Active councils pay dues willingly. Help us get more councils; help us have the resources to service the councils properly; urge the councils to pay their yearly dues.

And again. You can be proud of the Journal, a handsome magazine with distinctive content. The potential subscribers number eight hundred thousand within NCNW and those outside are countless. Can you get five?

Furthermore. Telefact is a bundle of useful, up-to-date facts. Everybody ought to subscribe. It costs only 50 cents a year.

For instance again. Building the National Archives appeals to one and all - re-discovering the autograph book of Sojourner Truth, the medal that Queen Victoria gave a prominent Negro citizen, the Bible the Maryland Negroes gave Lincoln. Many will want to contribute to the Archives fund or give books by or about Negroes to the Archive library.

Money builds program and program attracts money. It's not a vicious circle - it's a council-building circle. Join hands with us to enlarge and strengthen that circle.
