THEATRE HOLIDAYS
Why not treat your loved one to a London Theatre Tour for the holidays? British Airways has expanded its theatre packages in response to increasing demands for more diversified programs. There are a number of trips available. Of special interest is the "London Showcase" package that includes tickets to The Phantom of the Opera and Chess; two pre-theatre dinners; an evening of entertainment at a theme restaurant (including dinner); six nights in a First Class hotel with continental breakfast; plus sight-seeing, service charges, taxes. This package is priced from $420 to $612 per person, double occupancy, not including air fare. Another tour, "London Showtime Special" features tickets to Cats and Starlight Express and costs from $426 to $570 per person, double occupancy, not including air fare.

RICHARD STODDARD PERFORMING ARTS BOOKS
Collectors will find much of interest at this shop located at 18 E. 16th Street, Room 202. Mr. Stoddard stocks out-of-print books on the performing arts, original set design sketches by the late Jo Mielziner, theatrical postcards, and photographs. He recently acquired a vast collection of PLAYBILL Magazines from the early years of this century to the 1930's.

MUSEUM OF THE CITY OF NEW YORK GIFT SHOP
Located at Fifth Avenue and 103rd Street, the Museum's Gift Shop offers an array of theatrical gifts. Here you may purchase At This Theatre, the book published by Dodd Mead & Company to celebrate PLAYBILL Magazine's centennial. Written by Louis Botto, Senior Editor of PLAYBILL, the coffee table book is a lively history of 34 current Broadway theatres, lavishly illustrated in color and black and white photographs of famed shows and stars that have graced these houses from 1903 through 1983 ($25.95).

THEATRE FOR TOTS
Children aged five or up will have a lot of fun with a Playhouse and Puppet Theatre. The handsome red and green structure with a sturdy wood frame has a vinyl roof and sides on which children can draw with chalk or crayon. There are four curtained windows that are perfect for the production of puppet shows. The theatre, imported from Europe, is 52-inches high, 40-inches long, and 30-inches wide ($200). To go with the theatre there are Hand Puppets by Gund®: lush, plush creatures like Eager Beaver, Tender Teddybear, and Peanut Monkey ($22 each). Available from F.A.O. Schwarz, Fifth Avenue.
