had time to get cold several times, the day nurses went off duty and the night ones came on. At seven we sat down to dinner, at 8.30 I began to think of leaving.  We discussed the chances of their coming at all.  At nine I said I would take a ^[[last]] look [[strikethrough]] round [[/strikethrough]] down the road, and we started downstairs.  The cars were just turning in the gate.  We left about ten, the men were in bed and having their dinner
