FIRST NEGRO A.F. GENERAL-Gen. Benjamin O. Davis, Jr., left, receives brigadier general stars from Gen. Earle E. Partridge, Far East Air Force Commander. Gen. Davis is Director of Operations and Training at Headquarters, FEAF in Tokyo. President Eisenhower appointed him Wednesday as the first Negro general in the U.S. Air Force.
