Dear Agatha and General Davis -

Our most sincere congratulations to you on Ben's recent promotion. It is richly deserved and we are all very proud. I do want to say, however, that we are doubly proud of the great modesty with which General Davis has always worn his achievements and honors and we wish for him continued opportunity to add lustre in stars to this top rank in the service of our country.
